On the 9th and 10th of June 2026, members of our Vital Electronics team headed to SUBCON at the NEC Birmingham, one of the UK’s biggest events for subcontract manufacturing and supply chain professionals. Representing Vital Electronics were Dave O’Beirne, Emma Wright, Izzy Wilson, Ellie Bangert, Charli Billings, Marni Tempany, Emily Pedder and Charley Hills.

SUBCON brings together manufacturers, suppliers, engineers and procurement specialists from across the industry, making it a great place to catch up on the latest developments, build new connections and explore future opportunities. For our team, it was a fantastic chance to meet people face-to-face and gain a better understanding of what’s happening across the manufacturing sector.

Over the two days, the team spent time visiting exhibitors, speaking with suppliers and learning about new technologies and services that could benefit both our business and our customers. Alongside the exhibition, SUBCON hosted a range of talks and discussions covering topics such as sustainability, supply chain challenges and the future of UK manufacturing.

These sessions provided plenty of useful insights and sparked some great conversations among the team. It was also an excellent opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and make new contacts within the industry.
